XCaliper IRTools
The
XCaliper IRTools analyze temperatures on infrared images acquired by a
ThermoVision camera. It is important to note that the tools do
not operate on the pixel values in the display of an infrared image. They
operate on the image data in the inspection buffer, and they use the temperature
conversion information, which is attached to the inspection buffer, to determine
the temperatures that the image data represent. They are completely unaffected
by any pseudo-coloring on the view, set up according to your settings on the Output
LUT property page of the ImageDevice or ImageView.
Pseudo-coloring is for the sake of viewers only.

This tool determines and reports the temperature at
a single point on an image. It reports the average, highest, or lowest
temperature of the 2x2 neighborhood of pixels whose center is specified by
the position of the tool.
|

|
|
This tool determines the temperatures of points
along a line. More specifically, for each point on the line, it determines
the average temperature of points that form a column perpendicular to the
line. You specify the number of points in the columns.
|

|
|
This tool determines the temperatures of all the
points under the parallelogram viewport.
The LineMeter and AreaMeter
report statistics about the temperatures they identify, and they also
generate a temperature histogram according to your specifications.
|

|
|
As an IR tool, this tool is part of the IRTools.ocx.
It detects and displays blobs inside a parallelogram-shaped viewport,
based on temperature thresholds and segmentation parameters you
specify.
|

|
|
PolygonMeter
This
tool determines the temperatures of all the points under the polygonal
viewport. It reports its results in statistics and a temperature
histogram. The polygon may be any shape, with three or more sides, even
sides that intersect each other.
|
 |
|
CircleMeter
The circlemeter determines the temperature of the image within the
circular area defined by the tool either as a simple circle or as the area
between two concentric rings. |
