Sequence Checking and Postmark Verification One of the most common applications of vision technology in printing operations is to verify sequence numbers through envelope windows on documents passing through inserting equipment. Postmark verification, to avoid returned mail and assist in the accounting of postmark impressions is another area of application that when combined with sequence checking provides a closed loop for balancing QA tasks in print shops.
FSI Automation's XReader technology is applied for both of these tasks separately and in combination. The software interface screen shots below show FSI Automation's unique software program tailored to address the combined problem of sequence checking and postmark verification using a dual camera inspection system. The operator interface and overall control logic of the software allow an operator to systematically track each and every mail piece in the system at their convenience during a print job while automatically calculating a QC balancing report postmark impressions.
