XCaliper Vision Tools

The ImageDevice
control seamlessly connects your application to image
capture devices, acts as a container for the inspection tools, and
controls all aspects of image capture, management, and display.
In addition to
the view control that is built into the ImageDevice, you can include any
number of additional views by adding ImageView controls. These controls
can be attached to any image buffer and provide controls for positioning
and enlarging the image. You can also display or hide the control tabs
used for selecting scenes and surfaces to view. |

XCaliper tools for pattern recognition and high speed OCR
include a standard grey-scale Correlation Tool and a suite of
proprietary pattern tools for generic pattern recognition of single
patterns(TeachPattern) and specialized high-speed OCR or
multiple-pattern recognition (TeachFont). The Teach tools
facilitate classifier creation and the Search Tool uses classifiers
created by these tools to find the patterns in images. |

The
XCaliper EdgeLocator.OCX includes four tools. Since they all detect edges,
there are many similarities among them. These inlcude:the Caliper
and
ArcCaliper Tools and the LineEdgeLocator
and ArcEdgeLocator. |

XCaliper's suite of other tools includes:
LightMeter, ImageProcess,
ImageCalculator, I/O,
ColorIdentifier and
BlobAnalyzer. In addition two new tools, BarDecoder and
MatrixDecoder, are
now available. These tools incorporate symbology reading technology for
Barcodes and DataMarix reading within the XCaliper development framework. |

The
XCaliper IRTools.OCX includes five tools that analyze temperatures on
infrared images acquired by a ThermoVision camera: PointMeter,
LineMeter, AreaMeter,
BlobMeter and PolygonMeter. A sixth IR Tool,
the CircleMeter, is also available for customer testing pending formal
release.
